At some point it goes from positive to harmless to dangerous

To a certain Animal Crossing New Horizons Bells degree, I can see why ethnic appropriation is a problem. Taking something from a culture and utilizing it in a disrespectful manner. Like making an important heritage into a joke is pretty shitty. However, as long as the origin is admired, or not direspected, limiting things based off ethnicites or at which you live/were born is asinine.

Cultural appropriation is taking an important cultural component that has significance/is sacred from the first culture, and using it since you like the appearance of itit's"exotic" and"trendy." It's especially a problem when the original culture is usually erased from the borrowing culture.A good case in point is sporting Native American headdresses. Those are generally earned, and not just anyone can wear them. It'd be like somebody wearing a purple heart because they thought it looked cool, except we have the excess coating of the US genocides of Native Americans.

However, I understand a good deal of bitterness comes from individuals with legacy from different cultures hoping to embrace that heritage as kids while growing up in westernized society and getting made fun of by other kids because their clothes is indeed distinct, etc, only to learn that now that they are mature, what they were made fun of to get as children is now considered"trendy" by the type of people they had been teased by. That bitterness is understandable.

Agreed. Unless you're planning to become an asshole, it is fine most of the time, shit can happen out of ignorance but not that tough to apologize and proceed on.In the most literal sense of this word, all that is cultural appropriation; it's just that a lot of it happens to become optimistic cultural exchange. At some point it goes from positive to harmless to dangerous, and that I think that goes a ways towards explaining why the line is Nook Miles Ticket For Sale so blurry sometimes.
